Sony Aspen…why?

Slideshow.

Sony have semi-announced this and you have to wonder why. Some of their recent efforts on the phone front, not so much their own normal phones, but more their ventures into other platforms are just so disappointing that you have to wonder if they have completely lost it.

Why launch a Windows Mobile phone with such a small, low res screen when the world and its dog are heading off to other platforms? It does look okay but is not especially well proportioned. Still, no doubt those die hard Sony fans, the ones who still misguidely think Sony was at the forefront of Palm OS devices as opposed to the Company who produced horribly expensive, oversized, heavy and bloated pda’s that were stuffed full of features that nobody particularly wanted, will be lamenting, in 10 years time, the golden age of great Sony phones like the Aspen and how they were similarly so superior to everything else on the market at that time…
