iPhone on Wi-Fi vulnerable to security attack – iPod/iPhone – Macworld UK.

Quelle surprise…a report by a mobile “security vendor” suggest that iPhones are vulnerable to attack when connected by wifi.

According to the report by SMobile Systems, smartphone users connecting to unencrypted Wi-Fi hotspots can be easily compromised by knowledgeable attackers using an array of existing tools. The authors of the study used those tools to intercept username/password combinations sent from several different smartphones….

I’m sure they are “vulnerable” and you could say the same thing for most other platforms and methods of technology. Sitting here typing on my laptop right now I could be “compromised” as could anyone else doing the same thing but it sure ain’t going to stop me using wifi on the iPhone or computer.
